Water: Start with 3–4 inches of clean water in a clean bucket; keep every cut end submerged. Mix flower food at the packet rate.
Prep: Remove all leaves from the stems, following NFM’s rose-prep routine. Trim about 1 inch with clean, sharp tools and place in water promptly. Remove only damaged outer guard petals; do not strip healthy petals.
Store: Keep upright in a cool, dry room, out of direct sun until use and away from heat, drafts, and ripening fruit. Stems stay in water; keep flowers dry and allow airflow.
Daily: Check water daily and top up as needed. Replace water and clean the bucket every 1–2 days, or sooner if cloudy. Leave space around flower heads as they open.
